Cut yarn and weave through 2 remaining stitches. Insert end into the tip of the carrot and pull it through to the inside.
Stuff the carrot with small pieces of orange yarn.
Cut 5 strands of green yarn, each 18” long.
Take each strand and weave it through one gap at the top edge of the carrot. Continue directly across to the other side and out that gap and weave it through this gap. Pull the strand so it is evenly distributed on both ends. Repeat for the remaining 4 pieces, choosing a different start position for each strand.
Cut a green piece of yarn approximately 50” long. Thread onto a darning needle. Go down through the center of the 5 green pieces and poke out just under a green strands. Pull through until the tail of the 50” long piece is just a little longer than the other 5 pieces. You will use this end piece to tie to the other end at the end. Gather the 5 strands. Begin winding the long piece around the 5 strands.
Once you’ve gone around the strands several times, insert the needle under where you started winding around and push it up through the center.
Tie the two ends of the 50” piece of yarn together in the middle of the other strands. Tie several times and then trim these pieces to the same length as the other ones.
Trim all the pieces if desired.
