Supplies:
Yarn – Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn (Super Bulky #6). The colors shown are Raisin and Blossom.

Hook – Size US L/8mm or whichever size needed to obtain gauge listed below.
Darning needle, scissors, measuring tape.
Darning needle, stitch marker (quick locking), measuring tape and scissors.
Gauge:
4” x 4” = 8 stitches and 6 rows in Half Double Crochet (same as pattern).
Be sure to check your gauge to ensure the headband will fit your little one properly.
Abbreviations:
hdc = Half Double Crochet
sl st = Slip Stitch
ch = Chain
Sizes:
Toddler= 17″ around unstretched; 8.5″ across when lying flat unstretched; 4″ tall.
Child = 19” around unstretched; 9.5” across when lying flat unstretched; 4” tall.
Women = 21” around unstretched; 10.5” across when lying flat unstretched; 4 ¾ “ tall.
Directions:
Using Size 8mm hook, or whichever needed to obtain gauge, ch 38 (toddler); 42 (child); ch 46 (women).
Sl st through the 1st chain to join, making sure there are no twists in the chain.
Ch 1.
Hdc in same stitch as where the sl st went through (1st chain). Hdc each chain. When coming to the end, do not hdc in the sl st from the previous round. To complete the round, sl st into the 1st stitch from the beginning of this round, making sure to go into the 1st stitch and not in the ch 1 from the very start of this round.
Ch 1.
Hdc into same stitch as ch stitch and in all stitches. Sl st at the end to join.
Continue until you complete 5 rounds total (toddler + child); 6 rounds total (women).
Last row – sl st around through each stitch. sl st to join. Cut yarn, pull through last stitch and weave in end.
